Birds Photography tour at Mangalajodi
Trip duration – 02 night and 03 days
List of Birds – Mangalajodi – The Birds’ Paradise attracts birds from all across the globe making it one of the best spots for birding in entire Chilika. Following group of birds jostle Mangalajodi marshes every winter. Grebes, Cormorants/Shags, Herons, Egrets & Bitterns, Storks, Ibises, Geese & Ducks, Raptors, Pheasants, Partridges, Quails, Rails, Crakes, Moorhens, Coots, Jacanas, Waders, Gulls & Terns, Kingfishers, Swifts, Bee-caters, Larks, Swallows, Wagtails & Pipits, Robins, Thrushes, Babblers, Prinias, Warblers, Munias, Sparrows, Weavers, Starlings and Mynahs.
Day 1 – After over night train journey we will reach Bhubaneswar station at 3 am. A non A/c car ready to take us at Manglajodi resort. After checking to resort have some tea and then we move for morning boat Safari. Back to resort at 11am and post lunch enjoy the evening boat ride for birding. Over night stay. (Breakfastp,lunch,dinner)
Day 2 – Morning and evening boat ride for birding. Evening free for your own activity. (Breakfastp,lunch,dinner)
Day 3 – Early morning Check out from resort and a non AC car will drop you at Bhubaneswar station for onwards journey.
GETTING READY FOR THIS EXPEDITION Telephoto lenses – preferably minimum 300 mm Carry fully charged batteries for your camera / flash. Carry battery charger. Carry extra pack of camera batteries Carry backup memory cards / HDD storage drives, Laptop Carry a bean bag to stabilize your gears while shooting from safari vehicle Carry a big towel / cloth to protect your gear from dust Carry a big cloth / bandanna / scarf to protect you from the dust Body Warmer for the chilly early mornings. Sun screens are very important It is advisable to carry basic first aid along with you. Please carry Odomos to keep you protected from mosquito bites. Carry a pair of good binoculars.
